Loch Awe is famous for its record brown trout and provides first class fishing which is free from the shore in front of the lodges. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat or hire one locally.

These most attractive luxury lodges / log cabins are excellently situated near to the water's edge with its small shingle beach. The lodges have central heating and are warm, welcoming and extremely comfortable.

Avich Apartment
Set within Sonachan House, this self contained first floor apartment is bright and spacious with high ceilings and traditional features. All rooms are tastefully furnished to a high standard. The lounge and main bedroom offer glorious views across the grounds to Loch Awe.

Kintyre Apartment
Recently restored and refurbished to the highest standards within Sonachan Mansion House. Ground floor apartment with garden views, only 2 minutes walk from the Loch.

All our self catering accommodation comes with a colour Freeview TV, DVD player, washing machine, fridge freezer, tumble dryers and well equipped kitchens.

All the lodges / log cabins and apartments at Sonachan House are next to the lochside and away from the road offering a safe environment for guests to walk and enjoy the scenery within the grounds.

The Area

There are many recreational amenities available within the area - boat fishing for trout and salmon (permits available locally), golf, walking, horse riding, cycling and birdwatching are all popular.

It is also an excellent base for exploring the West Highlands and its many gardens, castles and distilleries.

Trips to picturesque Inveraray, Fort William and historic Glencoe are recommended. Whilst the town of Oban is just a 35 minute drive away - from here you can take a ferry to explore numerous islands.
